Hoi An is an ancient town located in Quang Nam Province. In recent years, with the development of regional planning and the close connection between Da Nang and Quang Nam, Hoi An has become more closely linked to Da Nang in tourism and transportation. Because of this connection, it is very convenient for visitors to travel to Hoi An from Da Nang. Even though it is developing and integrating with nearby areas, Hoi An still keeps its peaceful atmosphere, traditional houses, and old streets, which make it special and different from modern cities.
Last summer, I had a chance to visit Hoi An with my close friends, and it became one of the most memorable trips I have ever had. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the peaceful beauty of the town. The old houses painted in yellow, small streets, and traditional lanterns created a warm and charming atmosphere that made me feel relaxed.
One special experience during the trip was exploring the Ancient Town at night with my friends. We walked around, took a lot of photos, and sometimes got lost in the small streets. Although we were a bit tired, we laughed a lot and enjoyed every moment together. The most unforgettable part was releasing lanterns on the river. Watching the lantern slowly float away made me feel calm and happy.
Hoi An’s food was also something I really loved. I had the chance to try local specialties such as cao lau noodles and Vietnamese braised offal (pha lau). Both dishes were rich in flavor and very different from what I usually eat. Sitting by the street, enjoying local food, and chatting with friends while watching tourists walk by made the experience feel warm and memorable.
Even though the trip was short, it left a deep impression on me. Hoi An is not only beautiful but also full of unforgettable memories. I hope I will have another chance to come back there in the future.
