Some trips are not only for sightseeing, but also for taking a deep breath and relaxing. When the first period of social distancing was eased, my sister and I decided to pack our backpacks and go to Da Lat. It was a very different Da Lat: quieter, fresher, and gentler to people’s hearts than ever before.
The places my sister and I visited during our 2-day-1-night trip.
1. Flower Fields
The first place we could not miss was the hydrangea garden. The big, round flowers changed colors from white to blue and pink, blooming beautifully in the mist of the mountain city. In the large space, thousands of flowers seemed to welcome life back after the pandemic. We spent the whole morning walking along small paths, enjoying the cool air and taking hundreds of photos. The peaceful atmosphere made all our worries disappear.

2. Túi Mơ To Café – Enjoying a Little “Love” Among Daisy Flowers
Located in a small and lovely garden, this café truly shows the poetic beauty of Da Lat. The wooden house is simple, and the view overlooking the valley is amazing. Sitting next to my sister, we ordered hot tea and watched the greenhouses light up in the distance. We talked about many things, from the boring days at home to our future plans. The feeling of family connection here was really special.

3. Langbiang Peak – Touching the Clouds and Sky
To change the mood, we chose to go to Langbiang Peak by Jeep. The wind was strong, and the view stretched far to the horizon. Standing high above, looking down at Dankia Lake and Golden Stream, I felt small but very free. After being stuck inside for so long, standing on a high mountain was the best way to heal my soul.
With 10 million VND for 2 days and 1 night, we had a very comfortable trip:
Transportation: Round-trip plane tickets, Jeep rental, and Grab.
Accommodation: A high-end villa with a relaxing valley view.
Food: From chicken hotpot with é leaves and local pancakes to a romantic fine-dining dinner by candlelight.
Da Lat in my eyes was not only about flowers and mist, but also a symbol of rebirth and strong sisterhood.
